We're back!
The Mellow Monk online tea shop is back online. We're so sorry for any inconvenience. Not only are we back selling our previous offerings (Monk's Choice and Top Leaf), but we'll soon be adding at least four new types of green teas to our lineup. These include genmai-cha (green tea with roasted whole-grain rice) and houji-cha (roasted green tea with an aroma and flavor that are completely different from ordinary greens).

I only recently discovered this site, so I haven't tried any Mellow Monk teas yet, but I'm a bit curious about your upcoming offerings. =)
Have you decided what the other new offerings will be, or when they'll be available? Do you have any plans to add white or oolong to your lineup? Will the genmai-cha and houji-cha also be made with first-flush leaves? Will we really have to wait until March of next year for the "Top Leaf" Tamaryokucha to be back in stock? =)

Whoops! "Top Leaf" is already back in stock. What happened is that when I "re-opened" the store, I accidentally uploaded a previous version of that page I used when Top Leaf was sold out earlier in the year. Apologies to anyone who had wanted to try it!
Our other offerings will be (1) shiraore, (2) genmai-cha, (3) houji-cha, and (4) ara-cha. All will be first-flush. All come from the Nagatas, who provide our Monk's Choice and Top Leaf, which are both "hon-cha" (true teas). We don't, however, have any plans to add white or oolong teas at this time.
