The glass electric kettle—perfect for green tea
Electric kettles are great. They let you boil water for tea anywhere there's an electrical outlet, even at your desk.
The even greater thing about the Capresso H2O Plus Glass Water Kettle
(Because when it comes to green tea, too hot is not good.)
There is also an extensive review of the kettle in the El Paso Times.

I don't know why this kettle is getting so much publicity. Besides its being clear, it's like most other glass-lined kettles out there.
I think that having the heating element inside ruins the purity of boiling water in glass.
I've been looking into glass kettles, and have essentially decided on getting a pure-glass kettle, with wooden handle, and a single electric burner to place it on. My preferred setup is like the one in this photo: http://tinyurl.com/6kavqw
I just can't find a burner that looks as simple and non-kitchen-appliancy.
I know what y9ou mean about having the heating element inside. Still, electric kettles are so convenient for the places where you can't have a burner.
And that's a great photo you linked to. It looks like a veritable laboratory of tea.
