Steeped in tradition
Until November 29 at UCLA's Fowler Museum, you can see tea items "practical and ostentatious" at the Steeped in Tradition exhibit.

I'd like to see this exhibit just to learn what the object in the foreground is.

Howdy,
Like your tea blog. Would you be interested in submitting an entry to teaexperiences.com ? It's
a new site that's all about sharing your experiences with tea. Hope you can either email your submission
or send one with our online form.
Thanks for the suggestion, Soul. I just used your online form to submit my experience.

Yeah, I'd like to know what that big teapot-looking thing is, too. Is that really tradition or an oddity from history? --Teaternity
